Postdoctoral Research Associate

University of Texas Health San Antonio
San Antonio, TX, USA

Dr. Nu Zhang’s lab at the Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Molecular Genetics, University of Texas Health San Antonio, USA, is seeking a postdoctoral research associate starting in fall 2025. The project is focused on tumor-specific T-cell responses during tumor immunotherapies as well as T cell exhaustion. The ideal candidate will be independent, motivated and hard-working. He/she is expected to work closely with the PIs and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications include a Ph.D and/or M.D. degree (awarded or expected before the starting date), significant training in molecular biology, cell biology, and immunology, at least one first-author publication in related journals, and demonstrated experience with flow cytometry and bioinformatics.

Responsibilities include literature review, experimental design and performing experiments, data analysis, reports, and manuscript preparation. The PIs are committed to trainees’ career development and will provide opportunities for the successful candidate to compete for fellowships, high-profile publications, and academic awards.
